About the Ottawa Street Pool
The Ottawa Street Pool is located across from the Recreation / Administration Center near downtown Plainfield. The 278,000 gallon L-shaped outdoor pool is equipped with high and low diving boards and contains lap lanes. The facility also has deck chairs for sun-bathing, a 3,000 gallon enclosed tot wading pool, a ship-shaped children’s play area, an eating area so patrons can bring their own coolers (no glass containers.)

Season Pass Information
Pool Pass holders will be able to register for time slots online 3 days prior for swim sessions. All other residents will be able to register online 2 days prior. Online registration will end 1 hour before each session. If there are any available spots left, they will be available first come, first serve at the door. The more times you use your pass the more you save.

Private Pool Rental
The Ottawa Street Pool is available for after-hours rental in 2-hour blocks. Fee includes admissions for up to 50 guests. All guests attending the rental are included in the head count. Full payment & refundable $100 deposit are due at the time of your reservation.

Daily Admission Fees
For summer 2021, all daily admissions to the Ottawa Street Pool will be $5 for a 2-hour swim session.

Pool Closing Guidelines
The Ottawa Street Pool reserves the right to close the facility due to inclement weather or low attendance.
Inclement Weather
*If the outside temperature does not reach 70 degrees by the time of opening, Ottawa Street Pool will be closed until 4:30pm.
*Swimming is prohibited when thunder is heard or lightning is seen. The pool will close for a 30 minute period after the last lightning or thunder is detected. If the pool is closed due to rain and the weather clears, we will re-open for the next swim session.
Low Attendance
Ottawa Street Pool reserves the right to close the pool due to low attendance. If the attendance does not reach 20 patrons within the first two hours the pool will close until the next open swim time.
Rain checks may be issued to those participants paying daily admission into the Ottawa Street Pool and who are rained out within the first hour of their visit. NO CASH REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
Stay Up to Date
In the event that the pool is closed due to low attendance or inclement weather, the Park District will alert patrons through our Ottawa Street Pool Info Hotline.

Pool Rules
1. No diving or flipping off the side of the pool.
2. No food or beverages are allowed on the pool deck, except in the designated areas.
3. Smoking, alcoholic beverages, and any other illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
4. Goggles may be worn, but fins, snorkels are not allowed.
5. Only U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets and water wings may be used.
6. High dive users must be 48” tall.
7. Swimsuit with swim liners only. No leotards, cutoffs or colored T-shirts are allowed.
8. Children under the age of 2 must wear plastic pants or swim diapers, no disposable diapers.
9. Plainfield Park District is not responsible for the loss of theft of any personal belongings.
10. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
