Starting February 14, Mather Woods will undergo invasive species removal, hazardous tree felling and brush pile burns in an effort to restore the woodland to its native state. This helps make the woods safer while also providing a better habitat for wildlife.
Work is being performed by ecological restoration companies Pizzo & Associates and Integrated Lakes Management and is scheduled to take 1-2 weeks.
