The Plainfield Park District welcomed Pamela Covington to its Board of Commissioners in November.
Covington has been appointed to serve out the remainder of former Commissioner Mary Kay Ludemann’s term which expires in May 2021. Ludemann resigned from the board in October after moving out of the District.
Covington said she first became involved with the Park District as a member of its Diversity Equity and Inclusion task force. She said that she is looking forward to learning more about the Park District and the community it serves.
Ms. Covington, who lives in south Plainfield with her family, works as a real estate broker and has a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture with a minor in communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
In her spare time she likes to listen to audio books, dance, and work out.
