Frankenstein’s Kiddie Carnival Oct. 18
Kids can test out their new costume a couple of weeks before Halloween and have some spooky fun too at the Prairie Activity & Rec. Ctr., 24550 W. Renwick Rd., from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 18.
The evening includes, games, prizes, crafts, a movie, and a costume contest for kids in age groups 2-5 and 6-10 years old.
- $12R/$15NR (includes 12 game tickets, crafts, & popcorn)
- Game from 6:30-7:15 p.m.
- Costume contest from 7:15-7:30
- Movie starts at 7:40
- Concessions available for purchase

Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest Oct. 19
Your fur babies can join in the Halloween fun with the Plainfield Park District’s Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade on Oct. 19.
Deck your pooch out in their spookiest costume and join the fun at Clow Stephens Dog Park, 16650 South Lily Cache Rd., starting at 10 a.m.
Parade and costume judging start at 10:30 a.m. with prizes awarded for first, second and third place winners for most creative and unique outfits.
Cost is $5 per resident dog/$7 non-resident.
Rules
- All dogs must have current vaccinations
- Dogs must be leashed and under control of owner during the event
- Park District dog park rules apply during the event
In case of rain, no make-up date will be scheduled.
