Indigenous Peoples’ Day is celebrated October 10 to honor the cultures and histories of the Native American people, the original inhabitants of North America. The day is centered around educating the public about indigenous culture and to honor the social and cultural contributions indigenous people have made.
As part of its Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Policy, the Plainfield Park District commits itself to these values because they make us a thriving community for all people.
