The Plainfield Park District recently announced the hiring of Kathy Scheiper as a recreation supervisor overseeing special events.
Scheiper has 7+ years of experience working in the parks and recreation field, most recently as the events and corporate service manager at Addison Park District. She created several new programs while at Addison that increased participation including Letters to Santa, Unplug Illinois, and Movies in the Park.
Scheiper also previously worked as programs supervisor at Darien Park District (2019), program director and coordinator manager at Westmont Yard Indoor Sports Complex (2015-18), and as a manager at Sports R Us (2014-16), a youth sports instruction company servicing park districts, grade schools and recreation departments.
Kathy is a graduate of Lewis University with a bachelor’s degree in business sports management. She resides in Plainfield with her husband Joe.
