The Plainfield Park District will host a night of Hawaiian music and dancing on July 25 at the Ottawa Street Pool, 23820 W. Ottawa St. Entrance will be free to the public from 5:30p-7:30p for this event.
Entertainment for the night includes music and dancing by the Barefoot Hawaiian, a Polynesian performing arts troupe based in Des Plaines, IL. Their performance will include Hulas from Hawaii, Maori twirling Poi Balls from New Zealand, and Tahitian Drum Dancing.
In addition to entertainment, patrons can enjoy 2 hours of open swim at the Ottawa Street Pool and can make their own Hawaiian Lei (craft supplies are limited.)
Concessions will also be available for purchase from the Flyin’ Hawaiian Food Truck.
