If your family has been missing sports, the Plainfield Park District has summer programs to help fill the void and stay in shape for when games resume.
Sign up for virtual classes that will help you perfect your basketball dribbling skills, soccer footwork, or improve your boxing workout. And best of all, do it all from home via Zoom.
Space is limited so be sure to register by noon on Friday June 5th.
Virtual Sports Classes include:
Phoenix Sports Empire: Learn the fundamentals of boxing while putting yourself through a fun & challenging workout! Professional Mixed Martial Arts competitor Ramy Daoud will help you learn the sweet science from the comfort of your home, no equipment or experience required! This course will cover footwork, head movement, defense & basic punches. Class will be conducted thru zoom.

Join our virtual soccer camp program with YESsoccer! Our professional trainers will demonstrate and break down soccer skill moves, turns and footwork which includes soccer ball exercises and non-soccer ball exercises. Keep active and healthy whilst developing close control this summer, through our technical training. What you will need is a small open space to work in, a soccer ball and access to a zoom account.
Wednesdays starting June 10th – 21233 for ages 6 to 14
Building confidence and dribbling the basketball is the focus of this program, as well as incorporating some at home conditioning. When you GET BETTER, the game becomes a lot of fun. The skills taught in this virtual class will be great but the interaction of multiple Breakaway coaches in every class will be just as important. All players will need a basketball and their own space and access to view programming thru our zoom link. Athletes can sign up for a Tuesday only class, a Thursday only class or a Tuesday AND Thursday class
